It is possible to link multiple consignments into a single consolidated import or export declaration using the Consolidate option on the Declarations tab for a consignment.
Suggested process
- Add a consignment for a housebill making sure that the booking and housebill numbers are entered.
- Fill in the Shipment, Packages (containers), Products relating to the housebill.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each additional housebill
- The same booking number needs to be entered for each housebill.
- The system will automatically populate the shipment details based upon the booking number.
- Nominate the first consignment for completing the declaration.
- Complete the export declaration
- From the Declarations tab, Select Consolidate (see 1st screenshot below)
- If successful, the number of consignments in the consolidation will display in the declaration title (see 2nd screenshot below). If unsuccessful or the count of consignment is incorrect then please see the troubleshooting section further below.
- Once the declaration is compiled, all of product lines will be included on the declaration and these are visible from the Review window.
- The declaration certificate document will show the total measurements for the consolidation in the header. Such as the weight, volume and count of containers.
- The declaration can be submitted as for any other declaration.
- Once a Cleared and Released status has been returned the Customs Release document will display all bill numbers and packages (including container numbers where applicable) that were included on the declaration.
- From the Declarations tab, Select Consolidate (see 1st screenshot below)
Troubleshooting
If the Consolidate option does not find the consignments as expected, check the following:
1. The shipment details are the same for every consignment (vessel/flight details, ports, dates etc).
2. For an export, the consignor's name is the same (see the Consignment > Other tab)
3. For an import, the consignee's name is the same (see the Consignment > Other tab)
